Ultra Sonic Sound-Engine Test Bench 1+2




At the Institute of Materials Engineering  the available ultrasound test is used in the frequency range up to 21.5 kHz for the implementation of fatigue tests of metallic materials in the resonance region.Due to the extremely high frequency range, areas of life up to 1010 load cycles in a reasonable time duration of the experiment, can be covered with this method.This is a t development of the research group of Professor Mayer at the BOKU in Vienna.The described oscillating system, in which the individual components must be coordinated in such a way that runs from zero stress and strain defined at certain points to be monitored by measurement caused in the system. The system is influenced both by the vibration behavior of the moving components and the other produced by the ultrasonic generator into mechanical vibrations and using Converters implemented current signals.These are generated by frequency generator sinusoidal high frequency signals which are converted by a piezoelectric transducer into a mechanical vibration.With test stand #1, trials can be performed with alternating load.

With test stand #2 pre-load or load threshold can be performed.
