 Due to competition, the production has to meet the demand for increasingly higher, unvarying quality. The accurate production and the control thereof becomes a crucial issue, especially in mass-production. In the beginning of this project, a local company producing synchromesh rings asked for a check-up on the capability of their inspection system. It lead to the development of a new inspection system, a system using acoustical signals for the analysis and the classification. The frequency band of each mass production item is judged by a classifier, which has been trained with the frequency bands of damaged as well as undamaged items. |
